Three Lovely Girls

I love dressing the girls up for Easter. Pink, Pink, and more Pink. I think they are Lovely!

Don't ask me where Liv learned this pose?

Oh, and Happy Birthday to another lovely woman we know. We love you Grandma Anna!

Just a few reasons why this woman is lovely.

  • She has spent her life taking care of all the people around her with little thought for herself.
  • She can cook anything. I'm constantly apologizing to Matt for my cooking. No one can cook like Anna Jean
  • She keeps my household running after I have a baby. I can't count how many meals she has prepared and how many loads of laundry she has folded at my house. She must love us alot!
  • She has a deep love for spiritual things.
  • She is so fun to be with. When we get laughing, it's hard to stop us. We usually end up crying.

Happy Birthday Anna Jean

Where's the phone?

So, Monday I was hanging out with a good friend and after a few hours of talking and eating and whatever else, it was time for her to leave. The phone rang as I was walking her outside to her van. I decided to answer it and walked outside with the phone in my hand. I then preceded to lay our home phone on her van. She was putting stuff in her car and we were still talking, and then she was gone. Yes, you know what happened. Steph was gone and... so was our phone. I think I may be going crazy.

Not even 24 hours earlier I lost my keys at church. I would be lying if I said I only lose my keys once a day. Actually, I lose my keys every time I lay them down. I think I'm crazy or maybe I'm just getting old. Today, Gracie informed me that I looked like I was 60. I told her, "Grace, Papa J isn't even 60." Gracie said, "Mom, no not 60, I meant 50." I thought it was nice of her to give me those ten years back. If my mind isn't working well at 30 I can only imagine what it will be like when I'm actually 50?!

Matt informed me that the phones in our next house will come in this form. It would be hard to lose a phone booth, but I wouldn't put it past me.

A Day To Celebrate

(Now he can take his grandchildren to Strawberry!!!)

(Dad is the first one at the hospital everytime I welcome a child into the world. He loves his grandchildren!)

There is a papa that we all know whose birthday is today.
So, we write this poem to let him know that we love him in every way.
He is a champion wrestler and an expert fisherman too.
Grace, Livi, and Ella love him, but Livi thinks he has a funny hairdo.
He can grill the best barbecue chicken and juicy ribs too.
He will even throw a cake or two on the griddle for you.
Papa likes to put on funny shows with puppets, Isabel and Gismo.
He teaches us how to choose the right anywhere we may go.
We love doing fun things with Papa like gardening, camping, and fishing.
He takes us to the movies, and to do anything else we may be wishing.
So, with all of that and much much more,
We love love love you for all that you
stand for.
Happy Birthday Dad!
We love and adore you. Thanks for standing strong in all of your convictions. Thanks to you and mom for making home the place I love to be the most!!!

Snow Bunnies

Snow, snow, and more snow. Someone pinch me. Are we still in Texas?
This was the second round of snow in one week. This round of snow proved to be much better than the first. The morning after the first night of snow, Gracie woke up extra early to play in it before school. She had only been out for a few minutes when she came in with tears saying, "Mom, we're too late. It has turned to ice." She was devistated. So, we were glad for new snow on Thursday! Oh, and NO SCHOOL on Friday.

Ella didn't think it was that cool.

5 snowmen later. Good job Dad

Lessons from a little angel (most of the time)

Alivia has said good bye to the monsterous rash that was taking over her skin for the last 6 days. It is gone. No more cream and no more itching! Monday, we wondered if the itching would ever stop. After a morning of creams and crying I told Alivia that we should say a prayer. Maybe Heavenly Father could help relieve the itching. So we did!
Later, when we were around the dinner table, Matt was asking Alivia how she had felt today. She immedieatly replied, "we had to call Jesus today". Isn't that soooo cute!! The Lord just knows how to teach a mom like me. It made me think of all the times I have needed to "call Jesus" to heal my physical and emotional ailments. Thank you Alivia for reminding me to never forget to "call Jesus"!

Ella aka: Grumpy Gus, Ella Bella, Boosha, Bella Boo, Honeys, Stinky

This is Ella's "give me real people food" face! You have to love this face. This one is just now figuring out how cool dad is, but she still really really really really loves her mom.

D-A-D and a Really Fun Game

The girls adore their dad. They stop whatever they may be doing (even if it's going potty) to greet dad in the garage when they hear him arrive home from work. Alivia runs out half naked some days. Dad is definitely the fun maker at our house. Even if I'm the fun event planner, Dad gets credit for it! I love when Matt comes home from work, because the whole atmosphere in our home changes. He is the best Dad. No REALLY he is!!!!
So, Dad plus a fun game is the best combination. Thanks to another fun maker in our family, Aunt Jana, we have Family Home Evening Jenga. I love watching my kids play this game with their dad. It's complete happines. Every Jenga piece that you pull out tells you to do something. Here's just a glimpse...

Arm wrestle someone in your family. Of course, Dad was picked!

Make a super silly face

Super silly squeeze dad, of course!

Eat a treat without bending your arms. Yes, leave the treat eating to me!

BUBLE or BUST

It was a night to remember. Great company and Great Music. My Dad deserves an award for putting up with 5 Buble loving women (especially the one in the blue) all night. Love you Dad!

Michael takes the stage! This pic my sister took of me speaks volumes. Row six was close enough for me to take some very good pictures of Buble.
Just in case you feel like you missed out, (which I'm sure you do?!) take a look at video from my digital. Just a sample of the songs I love!!!
