Some Daughters and Their Dad

A daughter needs a dad ... who teaches her she is important by stopping what he is doing to watch her.

A daughter needs a dad... to teach her how things work.

A daughter needs a dad... who will laugh at her at all the right times.

A daughter needs a dad... to carry her just because she wants to be carried.

A daughter needs a dad... to teach her that loving her family is a priority.

A daughter needs a dad... to be the safe spot she can always turn to.
A daughter needs a dad... to teach her patience and kindness.
Oh, and of course, a daughter needs a dad... who can build really cool forts!!!!

This DAD does all of these things and more. Happy Dad Day, I love you Matt!

Last Day!!!!

This was taken on the FIRST DAY of Kindergarten. Little did we know how great the year would really be!!!!
This was taken after her first day of Kindergarten. I think this was the last nap I saw Gracie take.
This is Grace today on the LAST DAY of school. She's taller and smarter!!!
Gracie was honored a few weeks back for being a Star Student. She was excited to hear her name over the loud speaker. She also got to eat her lunch and ice cream on the stage. We already knew that Grace was a Star! We are just glad that she radiates at school too.
This is Mrs. McDonald. I couldn't have asked for a better teacher. It's hard to send your kid off to school for 7 hours a day, but she was in good hands with this teacher. Mrs. McDonald has been teaching for 21 years and raised 5 boys of her home. She loves what she does and it shows. Gracie adored her!
Matt asked Grace, " How does it feel to be officially done with school?"
Grace "Good! When are you going to be officially done with work?"
Matt "I'm never officially done with work."
Grace "You could quit!"
We are happy that Matt is not a quitter!!!!
But for now......School's Out For Summer!!!!!!!!!!!!!
