Unhappy Feet!

You may be thinking... Wow look at those cute shoes, and then you notice the scabby knee that made it's way into this pic! Or maybe you didn't even notice the shoes because you are totally distracted by this gross knee picture. I solemnly swear that I will never post another picture of me with a scabby knee again. But this is worth sharing!
So, I was totally enthralled in my favorite show on Wednesday night. Every time the commercials would come on I would hurriedly start picking up my house. You know the drill: toys, kitchen, clothes, and really anything on the floor. When I say hurriedly, I mean I was jogging around my house putting things away during the commercial breaks. Heaven forbid me miss part of my show. Did I not think about the DVR. Hello... I can rewind.
Well, in all of my picking up I missed my shoes laying pretty much in the middle of the hall. I heard the music to my show start up and I started jogging faster so that I wouldn't miss anything. That's when it happened. I crashed and burned. Yes this 31 one year old fell on her face. I would be lying if I said it didn't hurt. I'm too big to fall like that. Only little children fall like that.
Anyway, Ella was my only witness. Thank goodness! Matt would have never let me hear the end of that one! Ella just gave me this weird look and walked away.
Every time I think about it I laugh. The scab is there to remind me that it really happened. There have been a few people ask me what happened to my knee. I wish I could tell them that I was playing really hard with my kids (you know, being a good mom wrestling and tickling) when I managed to get this crazy rug burn. But... all I can tell them is that I tripped over my shoes trying to get back to the couch to watch my favorite show.
So, don't forget to put your shoes away!

Happy Feet!

I was happy to oblige when Gracie asked to have her toe nails painted pink. There might be some princess in her after all!

Alivia wanted polka dots! She loves being all prettied up!

Alivia asked me about 50 times over a 20 minute period if her nails were dry! After a lot of "NO, not yet." Finally, dry at last! She was relieved to once again have use of her fingers. She said, "Mom, now I can pick my nose again!" I'm hoping over time we can put those fingers to use doing something a little more productive!

Short and Sweet

I got really tired of Alivia's hair looking like a blond version of Violet from The Incredibles.

Alivia getting her hair cut! It took her a day to get used to it. She kept asking me, "Mom, is my hair going to grow up?" Once I told her it would grow back she was fine. I think she is actually liking it now!

Drum Roll........................................

Short and Sweet

Gracie's hair was cut too!

This hair just needs to be tamed!
Ella's first hair pretty! Grow Grow Grow. We are anxious for Ella to get more hair.

Lovin' a little Utah!

It came and it went in a blink!

The things I don't want to forget...

Matt took us hiking up to Rock Point! He used to walk up to Rock Point as a kid. Now, he can take his own kids. They looooved it!

The water was freezing, but that didn't stop Alivia. She loved getting her feet wet!

4th of July at the Christensen's means the Pepperwood Parade and a yummy breakfast!

To Gracie, the Pepperwood parade means CANDY!

Little Mylee's first parade!

Sandy City Parade

Ella was lovin' this parade. We heard lots of WOWs from her!

In between the parades we played and played!

Then...Fireworks!

Gracie rolled and rolled while waiting for the fireworks.

Two of the cutest fire crackers!

After all of that, they just couldn't keep their eyes open.

Fun at Grandma and Grandpa Walker's. This was one of my favorite nights! The girls had sooooo much fun laughing and playing outside.

This is their favorite thing to do at Grandpa and Grandma Walker's!

We talked Grandpa and Grandma into a little bowling!

This pic of Gracie is just cool!

A night at the park! Another favorite night!

The Stick Game. You know the one!

You're never too old to play the stick game.

Oh, and Ryan... you're never too old to be tackled and tickled by your little cousins!

Ella gettin' some love from her Uncles.

Everyone was all smiles on this night!!!
We love you family. Thanks for the fun!
