Tinker Bell and Temper Tantrums

Move over Tinker Bell, you have some serious competition. Alivia got her nails, hair, and make-up done at Macy's birthday party. Too cute!



This gave me a good idea of what weeping, wailing and gnashing of teeth means (or should I say tooth). This is the first of many temper tantrums to come from this one. I mean really, what does an almost one year old have to be upset about?!

A Few Favorite Finds

Over the past few weeks I have discovered these favorite things .

If you have curly hair you have to try this. It's by Catwalk and it's called Curls Rock, Curl Booster. It says It's Incredible, and it is! Kristin, you have to try this stuff.

Demarle!!! This company sells Flexipan Molds and Trays. Say goodbye to scrubbing or soaking your cookware. Food never sticks on the flexipan. No grease, oil, or spray. It's cool but costly! Maybe, I will become a consultant!??

St. Conference Day

On Saturday Grace asked me if it was St. Conference Day. I told her it was, but that we weren't required to wear green. Although their was some pinching going on for those who fell asleep.




This little nugget would not sleep! She was soaking up all the conference counsel!

This heart of mine is so grateful for counsel from prophets. The word feast has taken on new meaning for me. It was a happy weekend!

Grace on a not so Graceful day

Sticks and stones may break my bones, but in this case it was the wall. Papa J and Grandma T were over to visit after being out of town for a month and the girls were sooooo excited to see them. After not heeding the warnings to stop running and settle down, Grace ran into the wall. She would like to think it was the walls fault. Anyway, the goose egg on her head was bigger than any I have ever seen. I thought for sure we would be at the hospital. We are lucky that we escaped with only a bad bruise, and a black eye. We love you Missy Grace with or without your black eye.

The Big Reveal

So... Yes, me with short hair. Here's the story.
My friend Rachel was asked to be a hair model for Judy at the Tony and Guy Salon in the Willowbend Mall. In order for Judy to become Art Director, she was in charge of putting on a hair fashion show. Judy informed Rachel that she needed a curly hair model. Low and behold, Rachel new just the girl.
So, here I am with short hair modeling the "Sensual Curl" style. Monday night we had to walk down a runway carpet in front of about 20 or so people. I know, it's hard to picture me doing this. This was so out of my comfort zone, which was the precise reason why I did it!
Judy gave us strict instructions to not smile and be sassy. So, I did. I walked down that carpet like I'd been doin' this for years. I kept telling myself not to laugh, because I was cracking up inside. I seriously acted like I owned the place.
It was sooooo fun to let go of all of my insecurities for 30 seconds. It was empowering in a little, but big way. Then, we took our crazy make up off and went back to our real jobs being MOM.
